The Goal
The THS BioExpo Team aims to help mobile phone owners promote environmental sustainability in their everyday lives, and will do so by designing the environmentally conscious “Bee Green” phone case, a honeycomb-inspired biodegradable phone case.
Designed to keep chemicals and plastic out of the environment while helping the declining bee population, the Bee Green Case combines the high specific strength of the honeycomb and FLAM, a biodegradable 3D printing material, and packages these features in a convenient, lightweight, and affordable phone case.

Mock Expo
During our trip at the IBM ExpoPrep, we picked many pieces of advice from more experiences judges. It was a first for many of us, yet fun and informative with practicing our pitch. We're hoping to the take what we learned from the judges and improve in time for the real deal.
Monthly Accomplishments
Month 1: working on 3D printing the hexagonal structure in order to create our prototype, and also figuring out ways to test the force of our phone case compared with other name brand companies. We are also going to be working with our marketing teacher and other outside professionals to come up with the best way to produce and sell our product.
Month 2: We've kicked things off by getting in contact with Wittman-Battenfeld employee Paul Richard, who helped us with our phone case design.
Here's a time-lapse of the process:

Month 3: The prototype has been finalized, and the group is working rigorously on both the experiment portion on the project and our website as well. We are looking forward to the ExpoFest on May 31st!
Additionally, we hosted our native plant sale in collaboration with the Sharon Audubon Center to support local bee populations and other pollinators.
