Our Community
The Torrington High School BioExpo team has become involved in our community through many programs and relationships. As a part of our school, our team has been able to create a phone recycling program to collect old and broken phones, removing their possible impact on the environment by properly disposing of them. Our team has also built a relationship with the Sharon Audubon Center through a partnership allowing us to execute our native plant sale while helping the center with new and exciting programs. A local company, Wittman-Battenfeld, has also helped our team execute our product. Through Paul Richardson, an employee of Wittman-Battenfeld, has been able to share his time with us to develop our prototype. Our advisers, found under our adviser page, have also been crucial to helping us create this project.
