The Bee Green Case combines both the high specific strength of the honeycomb structure and the low density, biodegradable properties of Fungal-Like Adhesive Material (FLAM) to create a strong, lightweight, cost-effective, and Eco-friendly phone case for consumers.
Additionally, the Bee Green Case aims to decrease chemical pollution from both phone cases and phones themselves.

What If?
What if we could reduce e-waste?
- According to the EPA, only 17 million of 152 million mobile devices disposed of in 2010 were recycled
- The chemicals and elements contained in cell phones pose environmental and health risks, as well as deplete natural resources and destroy habitats
- Polycarbonate, the plastic used to produce phone cases, is not Eco-friendly and takes hundreds of years to decompose
What if we could save the bees?
- Environmental pollution negatively impacts the quality and abundance of the habitats of bees
- Creating phones from scratch rather than from recycling requires mining new resources, thus reducing bee habitats as well
- Air pollution from the burning of plastics in landfills lowers the ability of bees to smell flowers, lowering rates of pollination

About Us
We are a group of Torrington High School students setting out to make a difference through our phone case, but with a twist. Bee Green Cases' integrated the honeycomb design & biodegradable materials to combat the e-waste epidemic.
The EPA reports that over 135 million out of 152 million mobile devices in 2010 were not properly recycled, and we are working harder than ever towards reducing this number. |
